The Toronto Waterfront Festival is an annual festival celebrating Toronto's waterfronts, dedicated to raising awareness of Toronto's urban waterfront by promoting Toronto as a "Waterfront Destination".The Great Lakes United Tall Ships Challenge is a series of tall ships port to port races across all five Great Lakes. In addition to supporting youth sail-training and historical preservation of tall ships, it generates awareness of the need for water conservation. Over the 5 day Festival, 15 international and local ships participated.
